Summary

Your spiritual conduct and your spiritual knowledge are the two ingredients that will determine your eternal reward.

At some point in this life, your earthly life will come to an end. After death you, as a believer, will go to heaven and there await the resurrection. Upon being resurrected you will have a resurrection body that is indestructible and can never perish.

After the resurrection, you will stand before Christ at the Judgment Seat of Christ, and there you will receive your just reward, which you will have for all of eternity.

Since eternity is infinite, and your reward for eternity is likewise infinite, then you reward is infinitely valuable.

Your reward is determined by the state and function of your spiritual life. More spiritual growth, and more spiritual production mean greater eternal reward. That again, makes your spiritual life the single most valuable component of your life. Nothing else in this world can compare to it.

That means it would be prudent to spend some time, at the very least, in developing your spiritual life, during this life, otherwise you will be throwing away a possession that has incalculable value. Who would simply walk away from ownership of a mountain of gold, so to speak?

And yet that is exactly what most folks do, when they ignore their spiritual life, or try to redefine it into something of their own design rather than using Gods defined spiritual life model.

The Bible contains a vast amount of doctrine, so much so, that no one can learn or glean all of its content during the course of a typical life. But growth is assured when you commit yourself to a daily study, and learn and understand and grow during the course of your life.
